LeeCee Mayers

Advanced Clinical Intern

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers & They/Them/Their

Wassup! My name is LeeCee, and I am currently a therapist-in-training working toward my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

As a Black, fat, bisexual, neurodivergent, polyamorous therapist-in-training from the Bronx, my intersecting identities shape how I understand mental health, relationships and systems of care. These aspects of who I am have deeply informed how I show up for others and the kind of care I strive to provide. My lived experience has shown me the importance of being seen, heard, affirmed and supported, especially in spaces that often overlook people with identities like mine. That awareness fuels my commitment to offering care rooted in empathy, cultural humility, and healing.

As someone who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, I know firsthand the value of supportive and affirming spaces and how difficult they can be to find. This understanding motivates my dedication to providing therapy that centers safety, acceptance, accessibility, and care for LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities. I strive to create a space where you can fully and unapologetically be your most authentic self, knowing that you’ll be met with compassion, respect, and zero judgment.

My interests include working with LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC, neurodivergent people, those navigating depression, mental health stigma, and non-traditional relationships, among others. My approach is person-centered and rooted in active listening, radical acceptance, and the belief that every person already has everything they need within them to heal. My goal is to honor your truth and co-create a space where you feel empowered to explore, reclaim, and rewrite your story with me walking alongside you every step of the way.

If any of this resonated with you and you'd like me to walk alongside you on this journey, hit me up! I'm looking forward to meeting you!
